Senior Designer

Seeking a self-starting, motivated, highly-creative Senior Designer to join the Puccini Group Design Studio. Responsibilities include leading the development and realization of projects from concept to execution in collaboration with Partners as well as representing and managing design coordination between clients and consultants. The right candidate must be willing and able to supervise and mentor intermediate and junior designers, and have a high level of fluency in: Construction Administration services, coordination with consultants, manufacturers and contractors. On-site client experience mandatory.

Qualifications/Skills/Qualities:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hospitality design
  • Strong experience in management and implementation of design concept through to completion while maintaining project schedule and budget
  • Strong experience in management and coordination of construction drawing sets with strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, methods, and codes
  • Strong experience in management and coordination of FF&E specification deliverables/implementation and available vendor/fabricators
  • Architecture or Interior Design degree, accredited 4 year+ program
  • LEED® certified, NCIDQ certified or AIA licensee is a plus
  • Strong time and people management skills with the ability to organize multiple projects across various phases
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and any other industry standard program and/or practice
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, positive, and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent client presentation skills and be comfortable in interfacing with external partners, consultants, vendors and internal staff

 

Intermediate Designer

In search of an intermediate designer with experience working closely with Senior Designers and Partners to assist in the development and realization of projects from conception to complete execution according to Puccini Group design standards and project budget constraints. The right candidate will be technically proficient, and apply a high level of attention to detail to the progress and contract documents, as well as to the coordination with all consultants, including renderers.

Qualifications/Skills/Qualities:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospitality design
  • Strong conceptual design approach in color, product selection and form
  • Ability to implement design concept through to completion while working within project schedule and budget
  • Experience in production and coordination of construction drawing sets with working knowledge of construction detailing, materials, methods, and codes
  • Understanding of Imperial and Metric measuring systems
  • Experience in production and coordination of FF&E specification deliverables/implementation and available vendor/fabricators. (SPEXX knowledge preferred)
  • Architecture or Interior Design degree, accredited 4yr+ program
  • LEED® certified, NCIDQ certified or AIA licensee a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and InDesign
  • Is collaborative, self-motivated, positive, and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable in interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and internal staff as required

 

Project Manager

The ideal Project Manager must be well organized and personable with strong leadership qualities and experience managing multiple programs in conjunction with the Partners and Design studio. Communication, delegation, and management of the scope of services, project hours, and client-driven schedule are essential to this role, as is the ability to set up and coordinate the drawing sets for the project team according to PG Standards. The right candidate will excel at client communication and have a demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain client expectations to the design team and Partners.

Qualifications/Skills/Qualities:

  • Hospitality design experience highly desired
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in interior or architectural design project management
  • Architecture or Interior Design degree, accredited 4 year+ program
  • Proven organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of construction detailing, materials, methods, and codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS project and office (Revit knowledge a plus)
  • Collaborative self-motivated, positive and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Imperial and Metric measuring systems
  • Working knowledge in communicating design direction including but, not limited to; hand sketching/rendering of design ideas and, drawing development of technical drawings including custom millwork and case good shop drawings
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal staff
